Andersen Global Pushes Further Into Africa With Four Tie-Ups
|
Andersen Global has struck collaboration deals with firms in Libya, Congo, Guinea-Bissau and South Africa, the firm has announced.
A similar deal with a firm in Mauritius is also on the cards for February.
This will boost its presence to 44 African countries and puts it well on track to meet its target of being in 49 of the 54 countries on the continent by the end of this year.
It comes in the same week that the network ups its foothold in Europe by bringing Portugal-based Curado, Nogueira & Associados into its fold.
The first of the latest African deals gives Andersen entry into the Republic of the Congo and Guinea-Bissau.
Andersen is establishing a foothold in Congo in Central Africa through a collaboration agreement with tax and legal firm ATLS. The firm is based in Pointe-Noire and is led by office managing partner Eric Tasi Ndjodo.
Its team of 10 professionals provides solutions in tax, business and company law, labor law and human resources to companies in industries such as IT, energy, and oil and gas.
Tasi Ndjodo said the firm’s collaboration with Andersen supplements its capability to provide integrated services to clients globally.
Andersen Global chairman Mark Vorsatz said the firm is a perfect addition to the organization as it strengthens its presence in the region.
The collaboration deal with Pinto Pereira & Associados in Guinea-Bissau next week will strengthen Andersen’s presence in West Africa.
The firm was founded in 1985 by office managing partner Carlos Pinto Pereira and focuses on tax, and labor, international arbitration and contract law. The firm works with international investors and other companies in areas including litigation, banking and finance, insolvency and restructuring, M&A and commercial, competition and intellectual property.
Pinto Pereira said in a statement: “Our collaboration with Andersen Global strengthens our commitment and further enhances our global capabilities.”
Andersen’s further expansions later this month are through collaborations in Libya, North Africa with Kashadah & Co and in South Africa with SAB&T Business Consulting (SAB&T).
