Dentons U.K., Ireland and Middle East (UKIME) has appointed a new chief operating officer to replace Jeremy Cohen in the role.
The firm announced on Wednesday that it has appointed current Middle East managing partner Paul Jarvis to the CEO role for the UKIME region, as Jeremy Cohen’s second term comes to an end. Jarvis will take up the role on May 1, 2021.
As CEO, Jarvis will become a member of Dentons’ Global Management Committee and Global Board. A banking and finance partner based in the firm’s Abu Dhabi office, Jarvis joined the firm as a trainee in 1999 and has served as Middle East managing partner since 2016, according to the firm.
The firm launched the process to find a replacement for Jeremy Cohen in November. Cohen has served on the firm’s board since 2010 and was appointed U.K, Middle East and Africa CEO in March 2015.
Cohen drove the firm’s UKME arm’s strategy during his time in the position, taking it from £165m in revenue in 2015/16 to £221m in revenue at the end of last year.
